Personal data

Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable person. This includes the following categories of personal data that we process:

  • contact and address data (for example first and last name, address, email address, telephone number),
  • further data from your contact enquiry (for example your message to us);
  • meta and communication data (for example device and browser information, websites visited, timestamp of access);
  • location data (for example geographic location)
  • online identifiers (for example cookie IDs, IP addresses, advertising IDs);
  • log files with information about your visit to our website;
  • consent data (for example consent ID, timestamp of consent, consent status);
  • usage and behavioural data (for example information on which content you viewed, viewing duration, whether you clicked on advertising media);
  • website interaction data (for example mouse movements, keystrokes, time spent on the site).

 

Use of cookies


General information on cookies
Cookies are data records stored in browser databases. They store, for example, user identification numbers which are transmitted to the user's computer when the website is used and managed there. The data records are kept available there for later access. Typical purposes of cookies are, for example, language selection, consent documentation or user authentication. 

Session cookies
Session cookies are stored for the duration of a website visit and are then deleted automatically when the browser is closed. They ensure, for example, that video and audio files can be played and that your entries are stored temporarily while you are entering them, thereby improving usability. 

Persistent cookies
Persistent cookies remain on your device even after the browser is closed. These cookies can, for example, store your user preferences such as language settings and analyse user behaviour on our website. The storage period of persistent cookies is set individually for each cookie. Once the period expires they are deleted automatically.

Purposes of processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • to provide our website in a technically flawless and optimised manner;
  • to ensure the proper operation of our website (for example troubleshooting and error correction, managing server load);
  • to process and answer your contact enquiry as quickly and effectively as possible;
  • to display interactive maps;
  • to analyse and evaluate the use of our website and, on that basis, to produce statistics and reports that help us optimise and improve our website for users;
  • to integrate video files and social media functions into our website by means of plugins and embeds, thereby making it appealing and interesting for users

Legal bases for processing

  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG (consent): for cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, in particular Google Ads conversion tracking and the display of Google Maps. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract and pre-contractual measures): for handling enquiries about our services and arranging appointments.
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation): for example to comply with retention obligations under commercial and tax law.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(2) TDDDG (legitimate interest): for the secure and technically flawless operation of our website, handling general enquiries and identifying companies that visit our website (SalesViewer).

Recipients and service providers

We only pass on personal data where this is necessary for the purposes stated. We have concluded data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with service providers who process data on our behalf.

  • Hosting: united-domains GmbH, Starnberg, Germany. Our website is operated on servers in Germany. Server log files (IP address, date and time, page accessed, browser and operating system) are processed in this context.
  • Consent management: Usercentrics GmbH, Munich, Germany. Usercentrics stores your consent decision (consent ID, timestamp, status) so that it can be documented and respected.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking and Google Maps: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Both services are only loaded after you have given consent. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA.
  • SalesViewer: SalesViewer GmbH, Bochum, Germany. The service uses the IP address to identify which company is visiting our website and helps us improve our offering for business customers. The aim is to identify companies, not individuals.
  • Appointment booking: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland (Microsoft Bookings). If you book an appointment via our booking link, the data you provide is processed. Data may be transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the USA.
  • Contact form and e-mail: the information you provide is processed on our server and sent to us by e-mail.
  • External data protection officer: ePrivacy GmbH, Hamburg, where this is necessary to handle your request.

Transfers to third countries

Where data is transferred to Google LLC or Microsoft Corporation in the USA, the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework of 10 July 2023, under which both companies are certified, and additionally on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Storage period

We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete data from contact enquiries once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. We retain documents relevant under commercial and tax law for up to ten years. You can view the storage period of individual cookies in the settings of our consent banner.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, please contact datenschutz@interactiveperformance.de.

Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Der Hamburgische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 22, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

Obligation to provide data and automated decisions

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. Without your contact details, however, we cannot respond to your enquiry. No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
